Links for Learning

ABCya

ABCya.com is the leader in free educational kids computer games and activities for elementary students to learn on the web. Guys Read

Research shows that boys are having trouble reading, and no one is quite sure why. But the good news is that research also shows that boys will read — if they are given reading that interests them. So the biggest part of this site is the collection of book titles. These are books that guys have told us they like. Our idea is to help guys become readers by helping them find texts they want to read.

PBS Kids

Play educational games, watch PBS kids shows and find activities like coloring and music. This site also includes categories of activities for more focused play including literacy games, rhyming games, reading games, letter games, and vocabulary games.

Starfall

Starfall.com opened in September of 2002 as a free public service to teach children to read with phonics. Our systematic phonics approach, in conjunction with phonemic awareness practice, is perfect for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, special education, homeschool, and English language development (ELD, ELL, ESL). Starfall is an educational alternative to other entertainment choices for children.
